Questions
Do I need headphones?
Yes. The effect depends on hearing each side separately. On speakers both sides mix and the movement mostly disappears.
What's the difference between bilateral music and binaural beats?
Binaural beats play two slightly different tones, one in each ear, and your brain perceives a third pulsing tone. Bilateral music doesn't use that trick: the music itself moves from one side to the other. More on the difference.
Is bilateral music the same as 8D audio?
8D audio is an effect that makes a song seem to circle around your head. Bilateral music moves along one line, from left to right and back, at a slow, steady pace. Read the comparison.
Is this EMDR?
No. EMDR is a structured therapy delivered by a trained clinician. It uses bilateral stimulation as one part of a wider protocol. Listening to music that moves left and right is not EMDR.
Can it treat anxiety, ADHD or insomnia?
No. It's music for relaxation and focus. Many people find it pleasant and calming, but it isn't a treatment. If something is affecting your daily life, talk to a professional.
How long should I listen?
Start with a few minutes. Some people use one track as a short reset; others play the whole album while they work or fall asleep.
Is it safe?
For most people it is simply relaxing music. Keep the volume low. If you feel dizzy or uncomfortable, stop.
How is the music made?
Each track starts as an ambient composition made with AI music tools. Then I pick the ones that fit, edit them and pan the movement by hand in BandLab, one track at a time.
Can I use the music in my videos or my business?
Listening is free on every platform. Most OZO music is registered with ASCAP, so a business with a public performance license that covers ASCAP's catalog can usually play it. For videos, apps or other commercial projects, get in touch.
